Thank You So Much
Been meaning to post for a few weeks.
I took Ali to see The Muppet Movie. It was really cute. She had a great time. Just her and I in the dark of the theater eating contraband candy. She whispered to me four times, "Thank you so much." I thought the first time she said it she just really was enjoying the film. But after the third time, realized she was expressing her joy at being alone with me, something that doesn't happen as much as we'd like.
When I hear the muppet theme song, tears come to my eyes. I watched the show when it ran with my brother and Daddy. But it was that warm fuzzy feeling, knowing my family was fine, my grandparents lived up the block and my aunts were close by too.

How Big is Big Enough?
I am wondering today, how big is big enough? Will I forever be the bigger person? Why doesn't the other person look away, why is it always me? Her voice came to me today, while I was standing in my kitchen. "Ame, look away, just look away" as she taught me. Sometimes I honestly do get tired of always being the one to extend the olive branch. Sorry Grandma
